career day

Did you ever have career day at school when you were a kid? Professionals from various sectors would come in, tell you about their jobs, and answer questions. I was very unimaginative about careers then - just the basics: teacher, nurse, doctor, truck driver. I remember the very dull fellow who came to talk about computer aided design. I thought computers would be really exciting but he assured us that it was only computerized drafting (at the time) and certainly not for girls. Oddly, I can’t really remember any other presenters; this was some 25+ years ago (did I really say that?!).

Anyway, I haven’t had a career counselor in to advise Emmaline (though her personality tests out as an ESTP) but based on these photos, do you think she ought to pursue being an acrobat with Cirque du Soleil? Or specialize in floor exercises as a gymnast? The uneven bars? Vaulting?

On the other hand, does catnip count as an enhancing drug?

Now Minou is quite different. His personality is more like an INFP and quite drawn to quieter activities like accounting (by the way, he won’t sit in that box unless there are receipts in it)

or computer technician (he’s very intrigued by wires and cables)

He’s also fond of office supplies.

Though he has hinted that he’d like a more ergonomic chair.

So what do you think? Tax accountant? Systems administrator? Paper pusher generalist?
