Minou loves roses
But he doesn’t love them quite the same way you or I might, as roomie discovered when she found Minou guarding a St Patrick rose that was last seen in a vase on the breakfast table. (all photos by roomie)
He actually growled a bit when roomie got too close to his recently acquired prized possession.
He dug his nose into it to drink in its scent. Either than or he was trying to pull out the more delicate petals in the middle.
He was just about to nibble on the petals when…
…unexpected (and certainly unwanted) company dropped in (see that pink nose at the stop of the image?).
He was hoping she’d notice that he was occupied and would politely keep her distance.
…but as you all know, Em is nothing if not curious, insatiably so.
So up he went with rose firmly between teeth.
Surely this location will be free from interruptions.
But he was still wary and jealous for every last petal.
Mine, all mine. Even this one. ‘Kay?

Those are such great photos and I’m so smiley at his obsession with that rose. He really seems to be appreciating it and its fragrance. Hope you get through your mountain of work and can enjoy the long weekend…

What a couple of clowns! Those two are so funny. I love how you can see a tiny bit of a rose petal sticking out from under his outstretched paw in that last picture. Like he’s snatching it back so he doesn’t miss one_little_piece!
What is it that he loves so much about the rose? The odor? Are roses better than catnip???

Ah, Minou is adorable and has excellent taste in roses … I love the way he moved the rose so that Emmaline couldn’t partake in the enjoyment too!
