print monitor

Sometime late last year, Wimsey began to take a special interest in the laser printer. At first, his ears would prick when he heard the whir of the printer’s warm up routine. Then his eyes would light up when the paper not only appeared at snatchable speeds but teasingly retreated (duplex printing) before reappearing.

Wimsey’s always had an affinity for paper. He loved munching on tissue paper tucked into gift bags at Christmas time. He routinely nibbles on the junk mail stacked in the recycle bag in the kitchen. But paper that moved in and out of a printer was too much to resist.

So now whenever I print anything, I have to be vigilant to get to my paper before Wimsey gets it and sinks his teeth into its corners.
That is so cute.
This is adorable!
Look at that stance, and his watching expression.
What funny joy cats share.
Thank you, for sharing this with us.
That looks to be great fun…for Wimsey! xx
That first pic of Wimsey looks remarkably like me when I’m waiting for a document to come out of my work printer … My workmates might start to really worry though, if I gnaw on a corner!
LOL! The first picture is hilarious.
Did you say Wimsey was part prairie dog? Sweet!
In fact, we call it prairie-dogging when the cats stand like that. Wims does it a lot
Oh my goodness, that is just soooo cute! That top photo is just too cute! Our Charlie doesn’t like small appliances and things–doesn’t like the big printer we have, doesn’t like the humidifier, the blender… well, you get the idea. ;o) haha… Happy Week, Anne ((HUGS))
I just love the way cats put their ears forward when honing in on something that fascinates them!
PS: I just noticed you are using an Oreo box for a sort of drawer (maybe from Cxxxxx?). It struck me funny, because I’m doing the same thing with one of their sturdy peaches boxes. It works perfectly for my needs.
Adorable! Mila runs to investigate whenever she hears the printer start too. Also when the toilet flushes
Perhaps Wimsey is looking for the ‘paws’ button
Beyond adorable. Wish I could tell my husband that it is a cat that disconnected the printer- but it was me):-
How funny – such a typical cat.
